Trice’s return to Porsche - Snetterton RD1

Toby Trice made a spectacular return to the track this past weekend at Snetterton, competing in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB in the brand new Porsche Cayman GT4 RS. Despite a last-minute call to race and overcoming a serious accident from last September, Toby delivered an impressive performance.

"It felt utterly incredible to be back on track," said Toby. "Of course, there were some pre-race nerves after my accident last year. But when the lights went out, they soon faded, and I was ear-to-ear smiles pushing the new RS around Snetterton. What a car!"

Preparations were challenging, with Toby receiving the call to race only on the Monday before the event. "Preparations were tricky," Toby acknowledged. "I have to say a huge thank you to my incredible sponsor LogixX Pharma & Testhim for getting me out and Clean Racing for working tirelessly all week to get the car ready. It really was such a huge team effort."

Toby highlighted the camaraderie and support he received at Snetterton. "During the weekend, it was so great to chat with the fans and some of the bobble army. The paddock welcomed me back with arms wide open. It honestly felt like I hadn't been away."

Finishing all three races in P6, Toby was pleased with his performance, given the circumstances. "The grid is fiercely competitive, and having just jumped in the car, I'll take that. We can work from here. The Cayman GT4 RS seems quite a step up from last year's car. Running a GT3 engine, there is a huge amount of power, and a stiffer chassis requires a slightly different driving style to get the best from it. Porsche has built a brilliant race car."

Reflecting on his comeback, Toby shared, "After my accident, I was nervous getting back into another race but was ready and geared up for it. I feel very positive after my accident, and after the initial nerves, I was soon lined up on the grid - no going back now! The lights went out, and all of that anxiousness faded; I was back racing, doing what I love."

Toby emphasized the importance of his team and sponsors in making his return possible. "It was a huge team effort to be prepped and ready for the grid. Clean Racing did a superb job getting the car prepped and ready. Porsche and the team helped me manage the rest of it, but none of it would have been possible without our very loyal partners."

As for the rest of the season, Toby is focused on continuous improvement and achieving his goals. "The rest of the season is to concentrate on the things I can control, and I'm sure the results will start coming in. Of course, I'm here to try and win the series, so I'll be working hard in the background for my best efforts towards that goal."

Toby's return to racing at Snetterton is a testament to his resilience, dedication, and passion for motorsport. The racing community eagerly anticipates his future successes this season.
